PPWR Packaging: packaging figures you can defend, built from what your store actually ships

This store runs Qoliber PPWR Packaging 1.0.0. It keeps packaging specifications, the packaging information shoppers see on product pages, and an append-only record of what was placed on each EU or UK market — inside Magento, with every figure traceable to the parcels behind it.

Why this exists

Regulation (EU) 2025/40 has applied since 12 August 2026, and national EPR schemes ask how much packaging you placed on each market, by material and period. The honest answer lives in thousands of individual shipments — which carton, how much filler, which country, which day — not in a spreadsheet someone keeps up to date by hand.

  • Show shoppers composition and disposal guidance, with claims only when the evidence is on file.
  • Turn real shipments into per-material figures per market that a person can file and defend.

How it works

From the packaging on the shelf to the figure you file

  1. Step 1

    Record your packaging

    Each packaging item gets a specification with its material components and weights. Revisions go through review and approval; an approved revision never changes, and a correction opens a new one.

  2. Step 2

    Assign it to products

    Recipes say which packaging goes with a product. Assignments keep their history per website and work for simple, configurable, bundle and grouped products — by hand, by CSV or over the API.

  3. Step 3

    Show it on the product page

    Shoppers see packaging mass by material, a component table and disposal guidance. "Recyclable" or "Compostable" appears only when the declaration is attached — otherwise the claim is simply not shown.

  4. Step 4

    Capture what really shipped

    Parcels, outer cartons and filler are recorded per shipment — in the admin or from your WMS over REST. If no manifest arrives in time, the website's default shipment packaging applies instead of a guess.

  5. Step 5

    Keep an append-only ledger

    Every dispatched shipment becomes one ledger row per material, dated in the destination market's own timezone. Nothing is edited or deleted; corrections are added alongside the original, with a reason.

  6. Step 6

    Produce a report you can reproduce

    A report run moves from draft to validated to finalized, and refuses to finalize while anything is missing. Every total drills down to its entries, and the CSV comes out the same every time it is regenerated.

  • It helps you meet PPWR and EPR reporting duties; it does not file for you.
  • Reports come out as a generic CSV that a person transcribes into the scheme's portal — there is no country adapter yet.
